Ink and ground are the only two colours here. Every apparent grey is a 50% checkerboard of ink laid down at 2px, and dark mode is a full inversion — the same gesture a pressed button makes.
The icons and screenshots are dithered with Atkinson error diffusion, six neighbours taking an eighth of the error each. Exposure is binary-searched over twelve steps until ink coverage lands within 0.015 of 0.38 for an icon and 0.30 for a screenshot. Icons are dithered at 112px and drawn back at exactly 2×, so every dot stays a hard square.
Display type is Silkscreen, whose design pixel is em/8 — only crisp at multiples of 8px, so the wordmark steps between sizes instead of interpolating. Everything you actually read is Atkinson Hyperlegible.
Opening a card is the only animation on the site, and it is quantised into six steps. Which card stands open is CSS :target, not script: the first paint of every page here ships no JavaScript at all.
